What is a “Portrait of Life“

What makes us different? We create personal art for you – the way artists have created portraits of subjects for hundreds of years.  Simply putting you on a backdrop and taking a beautiful photograph isn’t enough – capturing the essence of someone defines a Portrait of Life.

So we’ll spend time with you to create a portrait from the heart – capturing unique and beautiful images that are authentically you. We meet with you before your session date, and discuss likes and dislikes, styles of sessions that best suit your personal tastes, and how we can best tell your story… Images that will bring you joy and loving memories for years to come are the result, and we’ll have a great time in the process!

Studio or Location?

Some people, even children, will be completely comfortable in a studio setting with the right conversation and tone, and will shine their adorable light as brightly as if we were out in their favorite park. Some want to be out on the beach or an outdoor setting or in their own homes to breathe in the relaxation around them. That’s why we take our camera wherever we need to go for you to feel comfortable. Location work requires a scouting trip prior to the actual session, as the time a portrait can be made is determined by environmental light and direction.

Our styles range is influenced from the variety of experiences we’ve accumulated through eighteen years of creating in many locations and situations. Whether your preference is Classically Old Masters on Canvas, Contemporary Black and White, Casual Elegant, Photojournalistic Candid, or Edgy Urban, together we’ll collaborate to create the perfect portrait for the one and only you.
